Penn State Lehigh Valley Men’s Soccer Earns 3-1 Victory Over Central Penn
Center Valley, Pa. – September 30, 2025
Penn State Lehigh Valley men’s soccer picked up a strong 3-1 home win over Central Penn on Tuesday afternoon, improving their record to 5-1-2 overall (2-0-1 PSUAC).
The Nittany Lions wasted no time finding the back of the net. In the 4th minute, Chase Nederostek scored the opener off an assist from Billy Reinoso-Nuala to give PSU Lehigh Valley the early 1-0 advantage.
Central Penn responded later in the first half when Gio Fusillo converted a pass from Mark Haya in the 24th minute to level the score at 1-1.
Penn State Lehigh Valley regrouped and took control after halftime. In the 59th minute, Nederostek struck again with his second goal of the match, assisted by Al Salem, putting the Lions ahead 2-1. Just seven minutes later, Haim-Dawda Miknas sealed the victory with an insurance goal, assisted by Jack Montesdeoca, making it 3-1.
The Nittany Lion defense and goalkeeper Michael Myers Jr. stood strong, holding Central Penn to just six shots on goal. Myers recorded 10 saves in the win.
For the match, PSU Lehigh Valley outshot Central Penn 15-12 and capitalized on key scoring chances to secure the home victory.
With the win, Penn State Lehigh Valley continues its unbeaten streak in conference play and looks to carry momentum into the next match on Saturday at PSU New Kensington.
