Penn State Lehigh Valley made school history today squeezing out a 1?0 victory over Penn State Brandywine in another close game.
Lehigh Valley's strong defense shut down Brandywine's attack most of the game with Brandywine getting very few chances near Lehigh Valley's goal area.
The first half ended 0-0 with Lehigh Valley dominating most of the attack having some good chances to score.
In the second half Lehigh Valley picked up the pace and had some great chances on goal. Ramy Chaker picked up the ball on the left side just outside the 18 and dribbled into the box drawing a foul by one of the Brandywine players causing a penalty shot. Jack Montesdeoca placed the ball on the penalty spot and burried in the back of the net to put Lehigh Valley up 1-0.
This is the first time in Lehigh Valley's soccer history that they beat Brandywine. Also the first time in almost 10 years that a PSUAC Conference team beat Brandywine in a soccer match.
