CENTER VALLEY, PA (September 1, 2022) - The Penn State Lehigh Valley Soccer team opened up their 2022 season with a 2-0 shutout win against non-conference opponent Montgomery County Community College on a beautiful Thursday afternoon in Center Valley.
The Lions got on the scoreboard early with junior Jerod Younes strike at the 9:06 mark off a Jack Montesdeoca assist. Lehigh Valley's defense would stay strong against Montco attacks to go into the half up 1-0. Freshman Marcus Pringle scored his 1st collegiate goal with an assist from Onur Alici at the 88:19 mark of the game giving Lehigh Valley their first victory of the season.
Lehigh Valley will return to home action this Saturday against non-conference opponent Five Towns College from New York at 1 PM.
