PSU Lehigh Valley MBB Push Past PSU Scranton, 85-74

Allentown, PA: Penn State Lehigh Valley men's basketball defeated Penn State Scranton, 85-74, on Friday night.

Lehigh Valley initiated the first half with aggressive defense to hold off PSU Scranton from scoring. CJ Santos began leading with a jumper to make it 2-0.

As the first half progressed, Lehigh Valley continued pushing the pace with aggressive defense, creating opportunities for defensive rebounds and fast breaks to score. Multiple three-pointers from Kyle John and Emmanuel Kenyi offensively to make it a 32-23 run. This run continued capitalized with jump shots, three-pointers, and layups, ending the first half with a 45-35 lead for Lehigh Valley.

Lehigh Valley began the second half maintaining the same momentum on defense from the first half capitalizing turnovers for PSU Scranton. Santos contributed two free throws after a foul was called to make the score 47-43. As the second half continued, fast breaks continued to lead to three-pointers, layups, and jump shots from Kenyi, John, Cam’Ron Black, and Chase Dusseau, making the final score, 85-74.

Emmanuel Kenyi led Lehigh Valley with a double-double with 33 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists, and 1 steal. Kyle John added 22 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 assists. Cam’Ron Black contributed 10 points and 4 rebounds, along with CJ

Santos with 8 points, 6 rebounds, and 1 assist.

Lehigh Valley will return to action at Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology for a 2 p.m. tipoff.
