Penn State Lehigh Valley men’s basketball fought hard in a conference matchup against Penn State Mont Alto, ending in overtime, 66-74, on Tuesday evening, making them 3-6 overall and 1-3 in conference.
Lehigh Valley started the first half with back-to-back threes from CJ Santos. The pace continued to be pushed with aggressive defense, hustling for every possession and loose balls.
As the first half progressed, several players contributed with three pointers and free throws. Lehigh Valley continued to hustle for every rebound offensively and defensively, ending the first half 18-27.
In the second half, Emmanuel Kenyi started by adding a three-pointer to make the score 21-27. As the second half continued, the energy continued offensively as Kenyi added multiple three pointers, along with CamRon Black and Sha’Ron Graham contributing multiple layups to tie the scoreboard, and ending regulation 64-64.
Heading into overtime, Lehigh Valley played tough defense that led to offense. Kyle John contributed free throws to make the score 66-72. Towards the end, Lehigh Valley fought hard in the last couple of seconds to make the final score, 66-74.
Despite a tough loss, Kenyi finished with 30 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block. Kyle John added 10 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 steal, along with CamRon Black with 10 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 block.
Lehigh Valley will remain home on December 12, 2025, as they take on Penn State Greater Allegheny at 7:00 p.m.
