MBB Falls at Home to PSU Greater Allegheny

Penn State Lehigh Valley was defeated by Penn State Greater Allegheny with a score of 40-51, bringing their overall record to 3-7 and conference record to 1-4.

Despite a chippy couple of minutes in the first half, Lehigh Valley capitalized on defensive rebounds to make it their possession offensively. Emmanuel Kenyi added a jumpshot to make the score 2-19 for the Lehigh Valley.

As the first half continued, Lehigh Valley paced the game with CJ Santos making a layup, followed by Manny Polanco and Chase Dusseau pitching in a three-pointer to make the score 10-24. In the last couple of minutes, Santos added a three-pointer, followed by a free throw to end the first half, 16-24.

The second half began strongly for Lehigh Valley as they played tough defense to force turnovers, causing Greater Allegheny to lose possession. Sha’Ron Graham contributed a layup, alongside Santos, to make the score 20-24. As the second half continued, the momentum continued as Santos added another jumpshot, followed by multiple free throw opportunities for Graham and Kyle John.

Lehigh Valley fought hard towards the end of the second half, but came away with a draw with the score of 40-51.

Despite the loss, CJ Santos led with 12 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal. Emmanuel Kenyi added 9 points, along with Kyle John with 8 points, 10 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal.

The Lehigh Valley MBB will return to action at home tomorrow at 1 pm as they take on Penn State Shenango.
