Allentown, PA.- Penn State Lehigh Valley men’s basketball fought hard in the home opener against Penn State York, with the final score, 71-73, on Friday night, making them 2-3 overall, and 0-1 in conference.
Lehigh Valley began the first half with a three-pointer from Manny Polanco. Lehigh Valley pushed the pace, fueled by ball movement, going for defensive rebounds, and securing second-chance shots.
After a timeout was called by Lehigh Valley, the score was 17-15. Emmanuel Kenyi was shifty, adding two back-to-back three-pointers.
Lehigh Valley started the second half with another three-pointer from Manny Polanco, making the score close with 40-41 on the board. As the game progressed, pressure defense was utilized for the Lehigh Valley to have the ball in their possession for Sha’ron Graham to make a layup to make the score 54-52. In the last couple of minutes,
CamRon Black came off the bench and added 5 points to the board, making the score 65-69. Towards the end of the half, it was a tight score in the last couple of seconds to make the final score, 71-73.
Despite the tough loss, Kenyi led with a game-high 22 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal. Polanco followed up and added 20 points and 1 assist.
Penn State Lehigh Valley men’s basketball will be back in action against Penn State DuBois on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 1 pm.
