Bio
Sarah Hendricks earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Northwood University, where she was a captain and member of the women’s basketball program. Her experience as a student-athlete helped shape her passion for leadership, teamwork, and the lifelong value of education.
Prior to joining Penn State Lehigh Valley, Hendricks served as the Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach and Operations & Facilities Assistant at Cedar Crest College. She then began her career at PSULV in 2014 as the Student Engagement Assistant and Assistant Women’s Basketball and Volleyball Coach. She later returned to the campus in 2021 as the Student Activities and Athletics Coordinator.
In January 2025, Hendricks was appointed Interim Director of Athletics at Penn State Lehigh Valley. During her leadership, 75% of student-athletes earned a 3.0 GPA or higher, reflecting her strong commitment to academic achievement and student success. She has prioritized creating an environment where student-athletes excel both in competition and in the classroom, with a focus on helping students persist to graduation and prepare for life after college.
Known for her hands-on leadership style, Hendricks has worked to strengthen campus engagement, enhance the student-athlete experience, and build programs centered on integrity, accountability, and growth. She is passionate about mentoring young adults and creating opportunities that positively impact students long after their playing careers end.
